tumblr to me was the wild mix of art, trash, self-expression, passion, porn, kink and sex. Like a dream or the subconscious: never pretty, never nice but immensely vivid and inspiring. An tumblr was truth. People would spill out their phantasies, their fears, their secrets…

Censorship - Only nice stuff allowed

With the new regulations in place tumblr will be heavily censored and all about nice, nice…like facebook or instagram. I don’t need that. I’m on Facebook and on Instagram already.

Nobody needs another Instagram

I joined tumblr in May 2013. Today I have over 57k follower and nearly 1000 posts of original art. I have little interest in what tumblr has become.

I will not post anything in December

Here is my call out to you.

Stop posting art and visuals! Post your protest! Nothing else!

Use the hashtag #tumblrisover

Make yourself heard. Make #tumblrisover trending.

Small update

Thank you for the many messages of encouragement we have received. It’s clear that the Tumblr community has an important role for so many people; my heart breaks at some of the things I have read.

This is a quick update to let everyone know that the development of the transfer tool is going well. Further update on Monday, and I plan to post some details of how the transfer will work.

Last week, I expected to be able to announce the new site already by now. There will be a small delay of 1-2 days while the tech guys get everything ready. I’ll post more info on Monday in the afternoon (EST). I apologise if it is frustrating waiting, but this has to be done right.

It’s a safety feature. My intention is that every important announcement will be both here and on Twitter. But if for any reason* my Tumblr account gets suspended or deactivated then further announcements will be on Twitter only

Please be assured that people are currently working hard on making the rescue plan actually effective. I will post with more information tomorrow and at the weekend.

Reblogs and retweets welcome. But please do not send me any messages or questions on Twitter, I will not respond - all my time now needs to be spent helping the plan itself

REBLOG IF YOU’RE A NSFW BLOG

We all have seen the Tumblr communicate about forbidding nsfw blogs or those which have “adult” posts.

They think it won’t cause them any harm, but we are a really big part of the community. Let’s act and tell the staff that tumblr will slowly die after taking this decision. Follow these steps:

First of all, REBLOG THIS POST, so any NSFW blog can post and see it.
Give tumblr the worst mark at the App Store or Play Store
Write a negative comment about how they’re banning accounts and censoring the freedom of expression.
Purpose as a comment below a new site to move as a NSFW community.

If you do this before the 17 of December, we can change this decision. Let’s make the staff hear us. Make tumblr great again, a free place for free minds and free content!!

Personally, I enjoyed every single moment here at tumblr, and I appreciate everyone of my followers and blogs that I follow. If they delete my account… It was a pleasure to know you all. But we can still change this!!!
